Embracing the Unknown

This past month has been big for me. I decided that it is time to follow my heart and move halfway across the country, alone. Over the past several months, I felt off. Once I made the decision to move and started putting things into action, something inside of me clicked and I instantly felt whole again.

Next month I will be moving from Pennsylvania to Colorado. Ever since I traveled there last summer, I had the strongest feeling that I need to live there at one point in my life. The feeling I had while I was in Colorado is indescribable, and unlike any other feeling I got from other places I have been. My soul felt happier there for one week than it ever has in Pennsylvania.

“Pay attention to the things you are naturally drawn to. There are often connected to your path, passion, and purpose in life. Have the courage to follow them.” – Ruben Chavez

Although it is a big decision and very scary, I know it is something that I need to do for myself. The biggest way that I have eased my mind if I start getting negative thoughts about the move is just remembering the feeling that I had while I was there. Somehow that puts everything back into perspective for me. Even if others try to bring doubt to me about this decision, I just remember that I am doing this for myself, and no one else.

I think it is very important to follow your soul, and it's something I'm constantly working on. What it tells you might sound crazy at first, but once you decide to trust yourself, your life will start to change.

I’m excited for this new adventure, and I can’t wait to share my journey!
